The campsite is situated in a perfect place to stroll surrounded by nature. Enjoy our beautiful landscapes around the campsite.


Many trails starts from the campsite.


Around the campsite they are several fish-bearing rivers, like the Valouse (famous for its trouts), The Suran, The Ain (trouts, barbels).
There are also many lakes, like the Vouglans, the Coiselet, the Viremont, the Conflans (pike, carp, tench, coregone ...).
Fishing cards are on sale in Arinthod, Saint-Julien, Thoirette (holiday cards and daily card).

Waterfalls and dams near the campsite La Faz in the Jura

Over 10,000 years ago in the Jura, the melting of the glaciers gave birth to numerous basins that has been transformed into lakes by melted waters and springs. There are 70 of them on the whole Jura mountains, 20 of which can be discovered on the Lakes Route
Sometimes wild and hidden, Jura’s lakes will satisfy those who just want to contemplate them, those who like fishing, those who prefer to swim, ( Chalain ou à Clairvaux-les-Lacs ), as well as those who like watersports ( Vouglans )

Vouglans dam

at 23 km

Construit en 1968. Haut de 103 m, il retient plus de 600 millions de m3 d’eau (3e retenue de France).

Coiselet dam

at 26 km

The dam of the Coiselet was built in 1970, a 6 km long lake at the junction of the Ain and the Bienne.

La Pyle bridge

at 7 km

It crosses the Vouglans lake, it was built at the same time than the Vouglans dam, It is 351m long by 75m high. Beach fitted out to bathe.
